The Intuition and Art of Clarissa Pinkola Estes for Therapists

This 3 Hour CEU Workshop will explore the work of Clarissa Pinkola Estes as it applies to the role of therapist, helper, or healer. Becoming a wise elder is way of describing the role of a helper who holds space for another's journey. Becoming more comfortable with your own experiences of loss (of many kinds) can strengthen your capacity to sit with your clients. This will be an experiential workshop inviting you to practice creating a timeline as a tool you can also use with your clients. 

1. Explore the descansos story as told by Clarissa Pinkola Estes.

2. Practice creating a timeline using the descansos narrative to explore losses or lack of safety

3. Integrate learning with group reflection and identify practices to support your "self of the therapist" awareness in trauma, loss, or grief work.
