An Invitation to Explore

As therapists, many of us were trained within Western medical and psychiatric diagnostic systems, including the DSM, which are shaped by particular cultural histories, assumptions, and power dynamics. This workshop offers a spacious, reflective container for our therapeutic community to engage in an essential and ongoing ethical inquiry: how these diagnostic frameworks influence the ways we assess, diagnose, treat clients, and how they shape what is seen, named, emphasized, or minimized within clinical work.

I come to this work as a white, Western-trained therapist and educator who is still learning.
